Brief Bio:
Dr. Tate started working at Cleveland State University in 2019. Throughout her nursing career, Dr. Tate has worked as a nurse in long term care, Trauma, ICU, ICU step-down and as a travel nurse. Dr. Tate finished her first Master¿s degree in 2014 and starting teaching nursing. Along the way she has also taught at other schools before arriving at Cleveland State. As an Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Tate has worked in the community at doctor¿s offices in both primary care, mental health and addiction. In addition to working at Cleveland State, she volunteers at a free clinical. In 2022 she finished her Ph.D. with a focus in Nursing Leadership. Her dissertation focused on nurse retention.
While at CSU she teaches Graduate in the FNP program and business course. In the Undergraduate programs she teaches Theory, Mental Health, does the Mental Health clinical and has helped in the lab.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, baking and reading mystery novels.
