“I chose Cleveland State’s Online MSW program because it outlined what I was looking for as far as flexibility. The staff that I dealt with went above and beyond to assist me with everything I needed. The program’s design allows working professionals to maintain balance while receiving a rigorous graduate education. The curriculum is relevant, modern and grounded in social justice, mirroring the values I hold in my own work. I also appreciated CSU’s supportive faculty, accessible online environment and the intentional way the program integrates theory with real-world"

"My favorite part of the Online MSW program is the real life application through the internship program. I was able to do Employment Based Practicum (EBP) my Generalist Year. EBP allowed me to learn how to assess client and professional interactions at my workplace through CSWE competencies. This has greatly improved my communication skills and how to better meet the needs of the people I serve. It is evidence of the strong, relevant curriculum that the Online MSW program offers."

“I chose Cleveland State's Online MSW program due to its asynchronous format, which fits well with my full-time work schedule. After checking with advisors about the ability to use my existing employment to fill internship/practicum requirements, there was no question left in my mind: CSU was the school for me!... Perhaps my loftiest goal yet is finding ways to integrate and use my stories as both a consumer of mental health services and a clinician to break down barriers both within and outside the fields of social work, academia and psychology.”

"I am very excited about my academic journey. I had many fears about returning to school after a fifteen-plus year gap from my undergraduate education. My enrollment advisor is amazing and was there every step of the way, from explaining the program to admission requirements, financial aid and class selection. She even checked on me during the first week of classes, and it was a relief as this is a major change in my life. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and encouragement from all CSU staff."

“I love being an online student because it is very convenient since I am a busy mother with a lot of responsibilities. Being an online student helps me accomplish my goals while still being a present mother.”

"As a first year online MSW student, I feel grateful for the opportunity to have a flexible, encouraging, manageable and intellectually stimulating learning experience. My professors have been incredibly supportive, have shown that they value the student experience and are dedicated to their role of helping the next generation of social workers develop and grow. I am grateful to have professors who are actively practicing in the field, bringing forth their wisdom as well as the most current knowledge to my cohort of social workers."
